Rosneft has confirmed that the domestic market is its priority for petroleum product shipments
Igor Sechin reported to shareholders on the stability of fuel supplies to the social sector, agriculture, and industry amid rising seasonal demand.
Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin, speaking at the annual shareholders’ meeting, reported that the domestic market remains an unconditional priority in the allocation of fuel resources. According to him, virtually all motor fuel produced by the company is directed to the needs of domestic consumers.
Public-sector institutions and farmers are a priority for Rosneft
He placed particular emphasis on the fact that uninterrupted supplies are guaranteed for public-sector institutions, socially significant infrastructure facilities, the industrial sector, and agricultural enterprises.
“We are practically not exporting petroleum products. Almost everything we produce remains within the Russian Federation,” Sechin noted.
The head of the company explained that the current situation in the fuel and lubricants market is characterized by a number of objective and market-driven challenges: high demand caused by the seasonal peak and the active phase of field work coincides with maintenance at refining facilities.
Rosneft filling stations are operating without restrictions
Despite this, he confirmed that supplying Russian customers with petroleum products remains a key strategic task for the corporation. Sechin also noted that there are no limits or restrictions on fuel sales at the company’s filling stations.
NiK reference: According to last year’s reported data, the total volume of crude processed at Rosneft’s Russian refineries reached 75.7 million tonnes. At the same time, 40.3 million tonnes of finished petroleum products were shipped to the domestic market. Within this supply structure, motor gasoline accounted for 12.3 million tonnes, while diesel fuel accounted for 16.4 million tonnes.
