From September 30 to October 2, 2026, Almaty will host the 30th Anniversary Kazakhstan International Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference – KIOGE 2026, the key industry event in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, bringing together leaders of the oil and gas and energy industries.
The anniversary year marks an important milestone for the project: over three decades, KIOGE has evolved from a specialized industry platform into a strategic international forum where decisions shaping the future of the region’s energy sector are formed. Today, KIOGE is a space where the interests of government, business, and international partners converge, where the challenges of the global energy transition are discussed, and where practical mechanisms are developed to help the industry adapt to new realities.
Against the backdrop of a transforming global energy landscape and the emergence of a new energy balance, Kazakhstan’s role as a participant in global supply chains is becoming increasingly important. This context will be reflected in the conference’s central theme: “From Megaprojects to Market Leadership: Kazakhstan in the Global Energy Mix.”
Exhibition Scale: New Opportunities for Business and International Cooperation
The anniversary edition of KIOGE 2026 will traditionally bring together leading oil and gas and service companies, equipment manufacturers, and technology and engineering organizations. To date, more than 235 companies from 16 countries have confirmed their participation, including Azerbaijan, Austria, the United Kingdom, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Malaysia, the UAE, Oman, Russia, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Türkiye. Particular attention will be given to national pavilions, which traditionally form the core of the exhibition and demonstrate a high level of international cooperation.
An outdoor display area will also be organized as part of the exhibition, where participants will showcase equipment and specialized machinery. Visitors will be able to view full-scale exhibits and see them in action. This year, national groups will be presented by Germany, India, Italy, China, and Russia. The participation of new companies — such as Terranova Kazakhstan, Corrocoat Caspian, MIS Kazakhstan, Chemelex, Primechs, Regent KZ, Energoskan, and others — reflects sustained interest in the Kazakh market and its further development potential.
The exhibition will serve not only as a showcase for technologies and solutions, but also as an effective platform for B2B meetings, contract signing, and partner search. In an environment of intensifying competition and growing need for technological renewal, such formats are becoming especially valuable.

KIOGE 2026 Conference: From Strategy to Practical Solutions
The conference business program will once again serve as the event’s key intellectual core. Over two days, conference delegates will discuss a broad range of issues, from global trends to practical case studies.
The central event of the first day will be the Plenary Session “Global Integration: Kazakhstan’s Role in New Energy Chains,” where representatives of government bodies, international companies, and industry experts will examine the country’s prospects in the global energy market.
The first day’s agenda is rich in strategic and thematic sessions, including:
- “Smart Upstream: From Seismic to Well” — on the introduction of modern technologies in exploration and production;
- “Localization 2.0: Machinery Manufacturing, Standards, Export” — on the development of the industrial base and the strengthening of export potential;
- the panel discussion “Industry Legends on Challenges and Victories” — a unique intergenerational dialogue and exchange of experience;
- sessions dedicated to the ESG agenda, environmental regulation, and sustainable development;
- discussion of the role of nuclear energy in ensuring long-term energy security.
A separate emphasis will be placed on the digitalization of the industry: participants will review practical case studies of artificial intelligence implementation in oil and gas, highlighting the shift from theoretical discussion to concrete technological solutions.
The second day of the conference will focus on practical issues and cross-industry cooperation. The spotlight will be on:
- the development of the gas industry and petrochemicals as drivers of value creation;
- export logistics and the geopolitics of transport routes;
- the development of oil and gas machinery manufacturing and production localization;
- the ENERGY MIX & POLICY panel session, dedicated to shaping the energy balance of the future;
- specialized formats such as PR Meet Up and GR facilitation, aimed at experience-sharing and improving communication among market participants.
The conference will conclude with a foresight session, during which moderators will summarize the outcomes, identify key trends, and formulate guidelines for the industry’s further development.
KIOGE as Part of the State and Industry Agenda
The oil and gas sector remains one of the key drivers of Kazakhstan’s economy, generating a significant share of export revenue and investment inflows. In this context, KIOGE serves not only as an industry platform, but also as an instrument for implementing state policy aimed at economic modernization, localization, innovation, and reducing the carbon footprint.
The discussion of sustainable development, ESG standards, digitalization, and diversification of the energy mix makes the KIOGE conference an important element of the strategic dialogue between government and business.
The anniversary KIOGE 2026 exhibition and conference will serve not only as a reflection on its thirty-year history, but also as a starting point for new stages of industry development. It is an opportunity for companies to raise their profile, showcase technologies, build partnerships, and take part in shaping the future of energy in the region.
Almaty will once again become a focal point for the professional community — a place where decisions turn into projects and dialogue into long-term cooperation.
Official Support and Partnership
As usual, the event is being held with the support of key government and industry institutions, including the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Almaty, the Kazakhstan Association of Oil, Gas and Energy Sector Organizations KAZENERGY, KazMunayGas, PSA, IMBC, Energy Monitor, the Kazakhstan Union of Oilfield Service Companies KAZSERVICE, and the Council for the Development of Strategic Partnerships in the Oil and Gas Industry – PETROCOUNCIL.KZ.
