Within the framework of the Agreement on further cooperation between OAO Gazprom and the Petrovietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (KNG Petrovietnam) dated 23.05.2008 a decision was made to establish a joint company Gazpromviet.
OOO Gazpromviet was established on the territory and in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation for the purpose of performing prospecting and appraisal and exploration works, developing gas, gas condensate, oil and oil and gas condensate fields with integrated development of gas, gas condensate, oil resources using advanced methods and technologies of prospecting , exploration, development of deposits, and profit from such projects.
The basic facilities in the Russian Federation are the Nagumanovskoye oil and gas condensate field located in the Akbulaksky district of the Orenburg region, and the Severo-Purovskoye gas condensate field located in the Nadym-Purtazovsky district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
Gazpromviet LLC activities include the following areas:
- conducting geological exploration, geophysical and geochemical works in the field of subsoil study;
- extraction of natural gas, gas condensate and crude oil;
- transportation of natural gas, gas condensate and oil.
The Severo-Purovskoye gas condensate field, according to the degree of industrial development, is classified as explored. In accordance with the Production Program of OOO Gazpromviet, it is planned to process and interpret seismic surveys, calculate hydrocarbon reserves and a technological scheme for the development of the Severo-Purovskoye gas condensate field (SPGCF), and develop design documentation for the construction of the SPGCF.
Preparation of design and survey work for the construction of the SPGCF will allow the field to be brought into commercial development in the near future. At the same time, geological exploration work continues at the field in order to increase the Company's mineral resource base.
