Rosneft has developed a technology for determining the quality of industrial reagents

The development of technological potential is one of the key elements of the Rosneft-2030 strategy.

Specialists of ANC Bashneft (part of NK Rosneft) and its subsidiary Bashneft-Petrotest LLC have developed Russia's first digital express control of the composition and quality of field reagents used in oil and gas production. The innovative method determines the brand, authenticity and consistency of the composition of field reagents directly at the field within 10 minutes without the need for their delivery to a special laboratory. Performing a similar task using the technology of the previous generation took 24 hours.

The development of technological potential is one of the key elements of the Rosneft-2030 strategy. The Company pays priority attention to innovation and the use of breakthrough scientific approaches, defining technological leadership as a key factor of competitiveness in the oil market.

Field reagents are an important element of almost all stages of the technological cycle of oil and gas production. The safety and efficiency of operation of the mechanized well stock, the system of preparation of commercial products, as well as the service life of pipelines largely depend on their quality.

Rosneft specialists have created a database of unique digital counterparts of each reagent in the form of a graphical spectrum. Using the database, the mobile express control system with high accuracy allows you to quickly and qualitatively distinguish both reagents of different brands and of the same brand with different content of active components.

The uniqueness of the technology and the intellectual rights to the technical solution are confirmed by a patent of the Russian Federation. The first tests at the fields of the Republic of Bashkortostan showed that express control is effective in autonomous conditions even in winter at temperatures up to minus 30 degrees Celsius.

The technology opens up additional opportunities for operational control of chemicalization processes at Rosneft oil and gas fields, including fields where there are no chemical laboratories.
