Chernomortransneft Completes Technical Upgrading of Oil Lease Automatic Custody Transfer Unit at Operating Facilities

The work was carried out as part of the Technical Upgrading, Revamping, and Overhaul Programme in order to organise duplicate quality control of the oil from oil-producing companies.

Chernomortransneft has completed technical upgrading of the operational oil lease automatic custody transfer unit (OLACT) at the Samur oil pumping station (PS) and installation of a duplicate oil meter skid (OMS) at the Krymskaya line operation dispatcher station (LODS), located in the Republic of Dagestan and the Krasnodar Territory, respectively.

The work was carried out as part of the Technical Upgrading, Revamping, and Overhaul Programme in order to organise duplicate quality control of the oil from oil-producing companies.

An automatic sampler was installed at the Samur PS and auxiliary equipment was installed to ensure its automated operation. The OMS installed at the Krymskaya LODS was connected to a process pipeline that enters the tank farm from the Krasnodar Territory fields. The equipment allows to maintain operational control of the oil received from suppliers for compliance with GOST requirements. The equipment was produced by Transneftemash Factory of Velikiye Luki.

All the facilities are functioning under the normal protocol.

Moreover, the Sheskharis transshipment complex (TC) is scheduled to commission four more upgraded LACTs for commercial metering of export diesel fuel, gasoline, and bunkering fuel next year. Specialists have started revamping them in 2022.

The LACTs will be equipped with provers for verification and monitoring of metrological characteristics of petroleum products flowmeters. A single unit with quality lines will be built to determine the quality of diesel fuel.
