The information about promising areas of cooperation with Tatarstan was presented to the Iraqi side at the presence of Albert Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan. TATNEFT, Rimera and Elaz companies presented their competences.

TATNEFT has had longstanding partnership relations with the Republic of Iraq in the implementation of several projects. During the meeting, the Company presented to the Iraqi side the Company’s competencies in the area of oilfield services, including well drilling and geodetic surveys, as well as in the design and construction of oil refining and petrochemical facilities, and the supply of tyre products.

The Iraqi delegation also visited the production sites of the TANECO Oil Refining Complex and the KAMA TYRES tyre manufacturing business during the working visit to Tatarstan.

The event participants got acquainted with the TANECO facilities, which are in operation already, as well as with the ones, which are in the process of construction. There was a presentation of the TATNEFT Company’s TANECO Downstream unit offered to the participants at the central control room. The information was presented to the event participants about the main areas of the Complex's activities, manufactured products, promising projects focused on the import substitution and expanding the product range. The TANECO Complex Downstream unit operates today in compliance with the world standard requirements in terms of performance indicators, quality and environmental friendliness of the Company’s products.

At present, the Nizhnekamsk Truck Tyre Factory is the largest enterprise for manufacturing solid steel cord design tyres both in Russia and in the CIS countries. The output of the solid steel cord tyres of the KAMA TYRES Company ranges up to 4,300 SSC tyres per day, all production processes are automated, and the assembly is carried out by robotic complexes. The share of the Nizhnekamsk solid steel cord tyres in the market of the total amount of domestic products accounted for 28% in 2020.
